Skydance Paramount Will Cut Approximately 2,000 American Positions – News
Skydance Paramount plans to begin large-scale job cuts the week of 27 October, removing about 2,000 US jobs under a cost-cutting plan totaling $2bn led by top executive David Ellison.
These job cuts follow the combination between Skydance Media and Paramount Global, finalized this past August worth $8.4bn.
More global layoffs are anticipated, as the firm aiming to disclose full details via its third quarter earnings report set for the 10th of November.
Earlier reports stated that Paramount was looking to eliminate between 2,000 to 3,000 roles before the start of November.
By December 2024, Paramount retained nearly 18,600 workers on full-time and part-time contracts along with 3,500 contract workers.
The company did not immediately respond regarding the report.
