A chopper hovering over a crowded southern California coastline abruptly began spiraling uncontrollably, eventually losing altitude and smashing into a cluster of palm trees as beachgoers observed.

Videos posted on the internet show the chopper beginning to twirl over the shoreline then descending in the direction of the edge of the shore, where it ends up lodged amidst palms and a staircase near the Pacific Coast highway.

First Aid Information

Local firefighters stated five people were taken to hospital involving two who were in the aircraft and were “safely pulled from the wreckage” after the crash on the weekend.

Three individuals on the road were injured. Information on their wounds were still under review.

The reason for the accident was not yet disclosed.
